Hey fellas, still on the hunt for our 90 or 110 to bring back home.

I'm looking at the MOT history of M952EAG and the mileage stopped going up in 2009 but there is a MOT every year. Is this indicative of the odometer not working or is there any reason you'd get a MOT on a vehicle that is sitting?

Really appreciated it guys!

My defender was “in storage” for almost 12 years before I bought it. It was still sent for MOT, passing occasionally, but the mileage was always higher each year. If the vehicle has been driven to and from the test station, then the odometer will increase if it’s connected and working.

Must have been driven in reverse to MOT station from 2015 as mileage dropped slightly. And before that date up and down slightly. Where are you looking at this landy, is it on a website.

Oh dear:oops:
I feel you need to search that name on here and see what comes up, beware.
The mileage may not have anything to do with them of course.

Although I must actually say we have brought from them and had no issue.

Cant be that hard, whilst car in use disconnect speedo, then reconnect at the test station and then disconnect afterwards, why I have no idea?

Just looked at the advert and notice it states 100k, in the UK its still considered the magic number and anything over 100k is considered fooked, of course tech has moved on and 100k is now nothing, but old views still hold and it effects the vehicles value greatly.
Many many nice/posh cars are sold on at just before 100k, 99k in an advert is not unusual at all.

Looks ok on the surface but no photos of chassis or bulkhead, rear cross member looks to have been changed and new door cards to make it look tidy and to me it looks like a van conversion job with side windows added.
I would never buy without having a good look at the chassis and bulkhead and test drive to see what engine, gearbox and running gear are like.
All may be good but not worth the risk of going off photos.
Take a look at this example.
