Ive an odd Vibration in my disco.

seem more pronounced when accelerating in 3rd gear between 20 and 30mph
it at times feels like im drivning on a rumble strip on the side of the motorway
after 35mph its gone I do feel it a bit in 2nd gear and now and then in 4th but only when low speed and trying to accelerate
if i press the clutch down and coast it goes.
its a 300tdi with the rubber doughnut.Ive checked the diff levels and are fine. was going to check gearbox and tranfere box but it started to chuck it down. it does feel more like comming from rear but its the whole landy and vibrates.

Ive also greased the front and reat props today and that not made any change.

could it be the doughnut thats gone too soft

I have the same problem but with the vibration in every gear under acceleration. Just replaced the doughnut and greased ujs, diff oil was changed 5k ago. Mine also comes with a metallic squealing/grinding in 1st and 2nd!
I'm off abroad for work on monday and need to get sorted ASAP. Help!!

had that for a long while on mine, turned out the splined part of the front prop had got play in it and started to chew its self up. check the front prop for any kind of play

well the doughnut has been changed and no difference
dropped of the front prop. though insiture if felt fine no movement
but on taking it off one of the uj's is well stuffed so replacement prop needed

front prop replaced. driving smooth again well as smooth as a disco should be
so im well happy again
though the amoutn of play actually in the UJ after I took it off. but no play showing while fixed to disco did surprise me.
So in future any douts drop them off and check and not to check them while in place

I have a vibration similar to this but only in 5th. once past 60mph it seems to ease off and disappear. I have a front prop spacer on as I have lifted it. could it be this as well?

I dont know green hornet.
Im still a novice in all things landy. But when I checked the prop while it was still in place. it felt totally fine no movements in the UJ's other than what they should move.
But when I took it off.I cook tell one side had totally failed. it had about 1/4 Inch of sideward movement where there should be none at all.
so for me in future to check my props if i thing there is and issue I will take them off and check them
