Went down road today and from about 90mph onwards i get a vibration that feels like its comming from the gearbox area, could this be the drive shaft? its perfect up to around 90mph. dont want it to catch me out when towing a 2 ton caravan as thats going to put stress on the gearbox and all shafts. its a 4.6 v8 1999. ( i wont be doing 90 mph with the van on):D

Could be that, I've seen it before.

Could also be control arms amongst other things, I've seen that a lot too.

It is hard to be too specific though without actually seeing the vehicle.

I couldn't count the amount of times I had somebody phone my garage asking what it was over the phone.

If you could give is a bit more information (like does it get worse upon acceleration or braking) I'm sure we can help further.

Im going to check the drive shafts for play or ware on the joints, it starts off with small vibrations at around 80 mph then gets worse the faster i go. It was so bad a 100mph i did no go any faster. when i started to slow down the noise and vibration got less. When i start off or stop there is no noise and no vibration, it dose feel its from under my feet and shakes the hole dash at 100 mph.
