Does any know the weight of a 300 tdi bonnet. I'm looking at getting gas stays for her. Just got a P38 and I just love the bonnet opening.

you only have to know how to search that ... according to this site(click on weight & dimensions at the bottom) http://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/223884/1627/bonnet_assy_discovery_1989_1999my it's 21.54kg + 4.4 the soundproof pad so you can consider it 25kg

Let us know how you get on. I was rooting in a scrap Disco a few weeks ago and managed to drop the fecking bonnet on my head!!!
