Hey guys,
I've been having some issues with my 2006 td4 that's on 49k miles. A week or two ago the car wouldn't start at all and i kept getting the check engine error with the exclamation mark, a mechanic came over and got the low fuel pressure error. We immediately thought it's the fuel pump, he checked a few sensors at the engine(it's my first car and i'm not a mechanic) disconnected some of them to test and plugged them back in, eventually he checked the pump under the rear seats and verified the wiring, all seemed okay. Car randomly comes back to life and has been fine ever since( a week or two).
Now the problems start, when the engine warms up the baby barely goes to 2000-2500 rpm and is very sluggish/slow at that RPM. I have tested the car to 70-75 MPH this morning when it was still fairly cold and there was no power loss; 5 mins after driving to work it started pulling back over 2200 RPM. Could it be the MAF sensor or the fuel pump?
Would really appreciate some help on this and i apologise for making this thread when i know there are countless others but i want to make sure because in Romania the parts are very expensive as is the labour and i wouldn't want to change the pump when it could be something else
