Hi all, I'm looking a little advice on a hard top I got with my S3 109. When I bought it there was a truck cab fitted and the truck came with a full length hard top. Now I have been told this hard top is not quite a normal hard top, it has 2 long windows down the near side of the truck both the same size, but on the off side it has the same long window at the rear of the side but a small squareish window at the front end. Has anyone seen this type of hard top before and can anyone shed any light on it for me. I have been told a lot of "import" trucks had these type of hard tops fitted. It doesn't really fit quite as neatly as I had hoped it would and am now thinking about putting the truck cab back on........

Especially for Redhand............

The other side is exactly the same only the front window is square and not a full length as this side is..........

It's just an 'ard top that someone's fitted random windows to. Nothin to get excited about.

If you have a hard top that is unusual on one side, why post a picture of the other side?
That just looks like a normal hardtop.
In the absence of a clear photo I have to agree with Hughesy.

I posted the pic of this side cos the other side isn't fitted yet as I have limited space. Thought I had given a reasonable description of it but there you are obvisously not. Sorry to wake you all.

looking at the rubbers its diy.
I think some ex mil tops have similar long thin windows, but they are the same each side, maybe this bloke ran out of glass and put a smaller piece in.

Talking of odd hard tops, a mate of mine used to have a hard top with alpine lights, and sliding side windows (now fitted to the yellow landy shown in my avatar) on his 88" IIA - nothing unusual about that, but the whole hard top was made of steel. It was a bit of a curiosity, but it was so badly rusted that I scrapped it a few years ago, weighed a ton too. Anybody else heard of steel Landy hard tops? It was made to the same pattern and build quality as a normal alloy hard top.
