Hi one and all, heres some brain teasers for you, my series three ex military 109" 24 volt ffr oil temps not working ,have replaced the transmiter and the loom is new, are the guages prone to stop working ?.
Also the wpiers dont park, is there a bit that breaks off in the motor ?, and also the fuel guages either side go straight up to full when running etc, they did when i first got it, then they didnt and now they dont and wont, tried the usuall wiring connecotors on the top off the sender units, again are these prone to going defunked if so wheres a good place to find replacements ?.
So there we go any good sparkies out there with knowledge of ex military 24 volts ?, i would love to hear from you, Cheers for now,

Have you checked the earth on the petrol tank(s)? I would suggest trying to take a wire direct to the negative on the battery to test it.

(or is it positive earth?)

If it is +'ve earth have the parts you've replaced been +'ve earth?

You might have a duff voltage regulator feeding the fuel gauge - is the water temp gauge working ok? - it's fed from the same reg. There was a thread on here recently about replacing the reg with a solid state one

Lucas wiper motors usually have a cheesy white plastic auto park switch, make sure there is a 12v feed to the park switch when the dash wiper switch is in the off position, if there is then the park sw is suspect.

You can use a multimeter to check the fuel guage sender, with one lead to the lucar connector and the other to the metalwork you should get a few hundred ohms, which will slowly decrease to a short when you lift up the float to the full position.
Some senders have 2 connections, one for the guage and the other for a low fuel warning light, make sure you've connected to the correct one.
