So the mystery deepens. The horn has gone on strike. Just wondering if two matters are connected. I've checked glovè box fuse. All good. Even put a new one in, but no change.

It needs to be checked at the horn for power coming to it/them.. Another job on the list gold🥴

I have one that sounds like a bird in the dash. It’s the fan in the electrical box under bonnet, it’s only a little farting 12v fan but takes its air from the cabin so that’s why it’s so clear to hear the noise as it travels through the air duct.
Mines back with a vengence tonight, as you say it's coming down the air vent.

I’m sure all the electrics in the electrical box under bonnet just unclip and slide out then you can access the little fan in the bottom of the box. Can’t be certain though as it’s from what iv seen not had a look into mine yet.

It's a Merkin video but you can't have eveything

I could be a mile off the mark, but when the Body Control Module loses power it will sound off for about 30 seconds (sound is like a constant alarm sound) I had this happen on my L322 and it turned out to be a loose harness fitting under the passenger seat, quick click and it never happened again
