Afternoon every one hope you can help me again, when the for a lovely long drive this am with my wife and all was great! Then when the over some bumps and I heard a knocking noise with what seemed like a metallic rattle (the sound of a bolt with loose washer rattle )
Pulled over straight away to look. Thinking may be loosened wheel nuts or nuts as had wheels off beginning of the week when under sealing her, but they were all tight. Tried to rock wheel nothing. So got back in and limped home just in case. I've hanged out of my best togs now so having a quick brew efore I go look again.
Any ideas what to look for guys? It's a discovery 1 es v8 with 4 inch lift and 2 inch body lift.
Thanks in advance guys, hope your all living the landy dream (I know I am)
Dave

Check your steering arms etc.

Do you still have the brake mud dirt covers on the hubs? if you do give them a tug.

Cheers

I will do neilly thanks for the advice :) it's bloody raining here so as no garage will check when it stops
Thanks again

Shock come adrift, coil spring broken which ot be honest is pretty rare as the springs are decent size.

Hi lynall, I changed all that when I did suspension lift and it's all torqued up to correct settings. I will get to the bottom of this. It's just bloody annoying lol
But that's why we love em! Or are we sado masochists
Either way I always have a grin on my face

Still check the shock bottom mounts as they can wear the axle plate away making the hole slotted.
