well after finding a leaking new seal on the diff todays fault is the O.S.F door will not unlock on the fob it will lock but not unlock worked ok yestaday parked over night and today nothing

is it going to be the latch still at fault

Door solenoid methinks. It's a common problem.

has anyone ever used a universal motor to replace the broken motor

reason is at £4 each there LOADS cheaper

yestaday the drivers door didnt unlock on the fob and today the passenger side wont unlock aswell

do i need 2 new catches funny how they have both gone 1 day part

also the button inside the car on the dash doesnt work at all

using the hawkeye to unlock the central locking i left it on unlock which is why the passenger door didnt work

dumbass i no but ya learn from ya mistakes...

back to the problem when i press the unlock on the hawkeye with one hand on the drivers door motor/latch you can hear and feel it working but just doesnt unlock


has anyone stripped one down and got it working again


£50 isnt something i have spare with work being so little lately

If you can hear and feel it working then WD40 is worth a try first, before replacing

i did try some hasnt worked yet keep going out and trying it lol

im thinking what ever joins the motor to the match is broken

tried to take the latch out of the car but one of the bolts was already rounded out and being a torqs i couldnt get it to move so ended up using lots of wd to start with and moving what parts i could move and then it started to work again

so once it started working i covered everything i could get to again but this time in a silicone lubricant in a spray can ( that and wd is all i had)

20 mins later still working... funny how we have had pouring rian for days and it started playing up also i noticed there is a grommet missing on my drivers door so thinking this may also be something to do with it letting in water

cheers for the link tho gave me something to look for as for the grommet i see duck tape coming in useful for now lol
