Had a bit of a search, seems to be plenty of info on fitting a nudge bar, but not a lot on removing it. Barring the obvious removal is the opposite of fitting, will taking it leave me with a mess of a front bumper?

Maybe open to swapping the front bumper and nudge bar with someone who has a front with fogs, but perhaps that's for another day.

Pic of the offending item attached, complete with tear down the bottom.

There should just be two brackets onto the slam panel and two up into the bumper mounts underneath. When I fitted one I replaced the lower bolts with lengths of threaded bar and when I took it off again I just replaced with bolts. I think that the original bolts were male star heads but took a socket easily.

There are just two bolts underneath that screw into the crush cans. Easy job if the bolts come out. Nightmare if they are rusty and been on 10 years. Replace with stainless bolts (I think they are 10mm) and use copperslip on the threads. Nudge bar comes off with the bumper in one piece. There are also two clips each side underneath and fog light connectors.

Partial success. Looking less of a tractor already. Nudge bar came off, only hindered a bit of a fight with one of the bolts. Ground was wet so removed the grill and got myself access to the bolts attaching it to the brackets. As predicted, bumper underneath in good order, good call Dave.

Next step, removing the brackets and cleaning up the grill. Waiting for a dryer day before starting that.

Also discovered what must be a contender for world's biggest blue bottle. It's close to an inch long!
