Be careful as you can buy a lot of junk, get someone to go with you to test it and as others have said avoid cheap junk

i have a siegen 180 amp which works well i use a pub bar gas bottle with CO2, i have not had any problems welding mild steel up to 5mm thick

Got a mate that used to be a welder so hopefully he can make sure i dont buy a hunk o junk and gi me a few tips to get me started.
Cheers for any advice lads, did a bit of brazing many years ago but never touched a welder. Always up for learning new skills though.
