Just been out to my '51 TD5 ES and the remote fob wouldn't open it - both fobs.
Opened manually and turned iginition key.
Secondary systems fine (radio, heater, washers)
primary systems dead. (Starter,Direction indicators)......
and here's the bit I've never seen before:
In the lower part of the Speedometer, underneath the mileage and left of the trip mileage a big flashing B with a 45 degree line through it (as with a no-entry sign)
Thought it was the fob battery, but unlikely in both fobs.
Checked fuses, all ok. Fault seems to have rectified itself as the car suddenly responded to the fobs, the little red light on the dash blinked furiously, and the starter etc came live.
Not an unhappy ending, but I sure as hell don't know what happened. Sort of niggles at your 'reliability', not knowing.
Anyone had this / knows about this ?
regards
Ian
