Just to clarify 1) The engine wont start
2) The mirrors, window on the drivers door do not work
3) the mirror, window on the passengers door function.
4) do the rear windows work

If you put the key in the ignition and turn it on does the check engine light on the dash illuminate.
As yours in a 95 it does not have a pickup coil around the ignition barrel and the procedure to enter the EKA code is different from the 96 models onwards.

1) yep engine wont start
2) yep everything works ok on passengers door
3) yep everything works ok on the rear doors

The engine check light does NOT come on when you put the ignition on.

I beleve the check engine light can be sorted by a syncmate, there is a chap on flebay whoe rents one out for £20. or if you have someone near to you who has one who can help. Dont think the window and the mirrow are related to your none starter but as i know the BeCM can and dose play strange tricks with any parts it has control over, your rear windows are not connected via the BeCM just the front ones. :)

With the check light not coming on,I would suggest using a Blackbox syncmate for a Gems to reinitialise comms between the BECM and ECM.
After that you will find the fob will resync.

I have managed to get my hand on a Blackbox sync mate.
When plugged in with the ignited at II it flashes red once which says the EMS did not respond to wake up. If i put the ignition to III the box flashes red 4 times which says the BECM did not respond to wake up.
Any suggestions to what is going on now or what to do now ?????

If you used a syncmate for a gems unit, then as irishrover says"you have a BECM lockout".He will be able to sort it out for you.

Many thanks to Irishrover for sorting the Becm out for me. Motor started first turn of the key but still have the problem of nothing working on the driver door. Have checked all wiring from door back to Becm and all connectors and all seems to be ok ???????

:behindsofa: Thanks for the feedback, that's one problem sorted anyway !!!
I offered to go up to Glenrothes, all I wanted was my train fare and my thirst quenched with unlimited amounts, as required

My reputation had preceded me and the tight git declined thinking that he could have bought a new L322 cheaper :hysterically_laughi:hysterically_laughi
Little does he know, I would have reset his engine ecu to run on water and achieve 60mpg !!!!

Seriously though...hic. hic.hic. If you haven't already done so, check the condition of the large connector behind the drivers kick panel, if that looks good, look at the drivers door latch wiring/switch/motor operation.
Bets are that it is something simple.......usually is!!!!

Did you happen across the solution to the dead door? I have just bought a p38 dse with a dead drivers door, any ideas?
Cheers Max.

i took the bmec apart and traced the wire back what i found was one of the tracks on the bmec pcb was burnt out. so i repaired it with a piece of wire. don't be put off about opening the bmec up its just 2 boards with a few connectors the whole thing took less than 20 mins start to finish:D

So what was the solution:confused:

It was the red wire coming from the door that sends the signal. Everytime i was moving the wires to check them it was connecting to give me continuity in the wire but when i was tucking the wires away again it was disconnecting.

Thanks, always good to know the solution to issues;)
