Isn't there a rule about the vehicle having to have a certain amount of the historic features still intact to qualify for being tax exempt?
Might struggle to convince them with that one!
 
Built in 2012? Needs to be on a Q plate. Wouldn't be surprised if that gets seized and crushed!
 
So if someone was to slowly change enough parts to turn a series into a defender, but didn't claim tax free or try and sell it. How legal would that be?
 
It's not the tax exempt bit that's important - it's radically changing the vehicle that's the problem.
 
It's based in a points system, or structural alterations,

If the chassis has been "renewed" but not for a like for like replacement it has to be q plated,

So many points for new engine ect,

That will be crushed or seized until it can be proven what it truly is
