just bought a 97 manual 300tdi disco and found something that wasnt listed on the advert. if you start and run the car as normal its fine but if you start it then quickly turn it off it will carry on running with the key removed for 5-10 seconds then stop. any ideas as i want to nip it in the bud before it becomes a problem

i would start with plastic ingnition switch on the end of steering lock

Hi, might be the stop solenoid sticking cheers elt.

someone else mentioned a stop solenoid but forgot to ask its location

On the back of the injector pump (left hand side of the engine as you face it from the front)

would that be on a 90 or 110?
