And that's the attitude which will get it closed again

Why would it be closed again. It's being used as it should.

Is there a new symbol then on os maps that say ONE WAY on greenlanes then.

and also the park ranger that watched me actually complimented on my off road driving and said most people in 4x4s get stuck half way up on routes like this and rip all the ground up trying to get through. Because they are incompetent drivers!

!!!!NEWS FLASH!!!!

If your having fun on greenlanes then then that's the attitude for getting them closed!
Do not have fun on greenlanes. You have been warned.

Just a quick note before I back track and catch up on the 2 million pages of extra threads :D

THANK YOU to Saul & John (and then Neil) for helping me with the puncture. Glad it was on tarmac :D Although I might have learned some interesting jacking techniques had it been elsewhere. Tyre is now repaired (£19 at a local National place). Spare wheel carrier is coming via ebay - I managed to shear off another of the studs swapping the wheels over yesterday!

Great to see Dave flexing his muscles with or without low box, Sarah! :D
A bloody good day out,..... again. CHEERS!

Bit harsh on Sue isn't it? Or am I just misreading the level of banter and sarcasm?? :p
If GLASS recommends things, does the ranger or the rozzers take note, or are they of a mind that if the lane's open, then it's open?
Maybe GLASS and Trailwise don't have the backup of LZIR and have to be more cautious/wussy?

I'd love to see what a Disco 2's TC would make of Deadman's uphill :crutch: :pound:...but as a laning noob I don't want to make it any easier for the authorities to TRO the crap out of everywhere.

OK so 26th or maybe 27th October its Sarah & Sues Exploring Trip

To as yet unknown destinations on route yet to be found :eek:

Only certainty is we WILL find some good new lanes and there will be cake :D:D:D

Only open to those who will actually turn up

LZIR will be put on standby

Anyone want to join us :D:D:D

Kia Ora fellas (and feller-esses)

Our fine Disco (christened Harry by Mrs E) has been busy acquiring new accessories, ready for its first venture into the English countryside. Mrs E and I would be keen to join you on your exploratory trip if it's a go for the 26th. All things going to plan, new tyres will be fitted just in time for that weekend too.

We were lucky enough to stumble across an auction (with only 20 mins to run!) for a complete lot of Disco off-road equipment - HD bumpers, steering guard, diff guards, tank guard, winch, hi-lift jack, CB radio, light bar, and more! Needed a bit of prep and re-painting, but nothing major - picture of the stuff in the garage just before spraying.

Just the essentials fitted so far - went out to Parkwood the weekend gone for light test and passed with flying colours! (aside from a strange few minutes where, after cresting a short, steep climb with a bit of a bang from the bottomed-out suspension, the hazard lights flashed on for no apparent reason, and didn't stop till I shut her right down and restarted - weird?)

You will be welcome :D

Well just got back from spending the evening with Sarah90 and nrgserv :D

Things didn't quite go to plan and both Landys are still with Neil

Mine decided to be uncooperative about having a brake pipe changed and its cylinder broke so that will have to wait until tomorrow.

Dave is another story, I will let Sarah and Neil tell that one

Poor Neil had to take give us both a lift home

its a safety feature... if ya have an accident the indicators come on..

a bit of a bang can make ya motor think youve had a crash and set the indicators off... only way to reset is turn off n on again...

why will it get closed again we are not abusing it

Alright you two :p I apologise, I had a very very bad day and thought I was being blamed for the Deadmans Hill ranger thing.

It got worse last night too, poor Landy now has no wheels and is on the ramps :(

And lay off the cake, it was my birthday, we will make cake for yours as well :D:D:D

Oh and sorry to philelvey, I will have to let you know if Sarah and I are going out in a couple of week later.

Depends what happens to her Landy over the next few days.

The day out might not happen now.

Edited to say it wont now happen.

When Dave is fixed we can arrange something perhaps. Wouldn't want to let folks down if they can join someone else.
