Its a complicated company. I have purchased bits off both of their outlets but not cars. The East depot is dads. He bulk buys fleet and the like and serves the local Rossendale Valley farm brigade. Hardy rural chaps that know defenders and the like are pretty much crap but love them anyway.
Son in the west wing of the company has a huge garage come factory crammed full of about ten thousand projects. His small team of very knowledgeable spanner monkeys are completely bonkers and an honour to drink tea with. I would steer clear if your not used to being talked to straight. Best to go to a showroom if your a southerner as even Manchester folk find it difficult to deal with a Rossendale lumpy head.
When they saw my Henry they all ran out to take a look then instantly declared 'Its a pig with lipstick'. Im not sure how anyone deals with second hand Land Rovers or more to the point why. They are problematic to say the very least. I think if your looking for one thats not going to attempt complete catastrophic failure within a year of buying it your kidding yourself and for a garage to take the responsibility of every nut and bolt just because it passed through their hands is asking a lot.
It should be as described however but the badge says more than some can take. ;)

There are many defender garages around that East Lancashire / North Manchester area. It is helpful to know which are run by the same family / people. Thanks.
