So after planning to meet up with an fellow LZ'er and him not turning up! Went for a little drive around to admire the scenery. Didn't want to do any lanes as only 1 car and no CB. After about an hour bumped into a convoy of modified off roaders (a nice mix of Jap and LR's) and asked to tag along. A very friendly bunch of chaps who obviously knew the local lanes. Did the wayfarer and pigeon steps? And a few others.

Only thing to go wrong was my rear light guard doing exactly what it's supposed to stop and damaging my rear light. Caught the light guard very gently and it ripped the light off!!

Only other thing I noticed is OSR and OSF indicators don't flash with Hazzards? But work fine as indicators? Any ideas....

Anyway very fun day out and glad I didn't tackle the lanes alone. Have convinced the wife to buy me a CB too!! And now that's she's been laning and got scared I don't have to take her in future. Winner!

It's ok the postcode was 45 mins from where it was supposed to be and no answer from either number provided. Was rather ****ed off till I met up with the group.

Couldn't take pics as was driving. Will link to YouTube when video gets uploaded. Would take pic of my truck but dark now.

Felt bad for the guy driving a D3 as suspension went and he's only just had it fixed.

But was a great day.

When I've trusted LZ'ers in the past I've not been given any reason not to.

Live and learn.

Now after 3 years away from off-roading I'm reminded why I missed it. Hopefully next time il be able to meet people of the forum.

It may just be an honest mistake on his part. Just didn't appreciate the extra hour driving (the fuel) or him not answering his phone to at least explain?

I certainly hope it was an honest mistake!

Glad you met up with a decent bunch by chance

It was pheasant steps not pigeon. Oops. Yes they were a great bunch and have swapped numbers for future lanes.

As I say didn't expect it from an LZ'er, specially after an hour drive that was nearly 2 hours due to a wrong postcode supplied. But luckily I still got to do some great lanes.
