if any noobs comming on here uses the search button they will find enough info to last a lifetime , then if after that you go out and buy **** thats your own fault , peeps on here are friendly and very helpful , but equally will rip ya apart , all i can say is ya didnt help ya mate very well then if he bought a ****ty disco as you stated you know more than the average person , ****ed if i would put a deposit on any fing before ive at least seen it or know the owner or some history of the vehicle ,
some people just wont learn

we bought them a few weeks apart

so at the time i knew not alot about them mine was holes here an there

but his was in 5 times a worse state than mine

but we didn't buy them from the same person and as i was looking on eBay this last month with snow appearing the seller is doing the same thing they don't bother with landys really untill the bad weather hits hard.

what about people who don't know about landyzone. i didn't know about it untill after i bought the motor. wish i had cause its a head start if the imformation relates to a landrover

If the op is right in what he's said then contact police and report him for obtaining monies by pecuniary advantage. or goto small claims court. Schill bidding is a criminal offence what have Plod said about the case??

or is this a case of someone whinging about fook all??

sometimes all ya do his hold ya head in ya hand an say s**t
was well ripped of an carry on regardless.

but yes i see what your saying but if people are like me i cant be bothered with aggro and learn from the mistake

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Firstly, thank you for your information Landymangadge.

Secondly, please think abit before posting regarding these issues, none of us on here know you from adam, you could have a grudge against this person other than to do with vehicles, we're taking your word for it.

Please don't bold your wording when warning others about people, it is naturally a commanding statement, most on here will reply in the way they have, the lack of knowing you, not knowing the seller, the reasons i gave above etc, will just make people think ' cock ' with the lack of background info.

Make a small thread, those that are interested in this kind of thing will keep it in their mind when dealing with those on the bay, word it informative and neutral no matter how you feel, it's down to those reading how they perceive it.

In a nut shell, your post comes across as someone running into the LZ pub and shouting your distaste about someone we've never come across, again it doesn't set you off on the right foot to get your message across.

Cheers

just letting people know what i wish i had have known when i started out
the thread wasnt for attention or to see how many replies i could get
its not a grudge either cause the person sells other stuff other than automotive. and has good feed back but when its motors its a no go area for me. and that was just a point i was making.

an leaving that advice for others.

Good point, but not a valid one for your argument as your posting your warning on landyzone...

Personally, i say thank you for the warning and having an eBay 'be aware' list isn't a bad plan. but that's just my view

TBH who gives a f**k what you think,so to call me TW*T is abit over the top i would say. :p
Nobody gives a fook what I think, it's only an internet forum, don't get your knickers in a twist. Use of the word tw&t is toning it down from what I was thinking. Again, don't take it personally, you might be a nice bloke but you came over as a tw&t in your post I thought.

Sometimes it ain't that easy. I was happy when I drove mine away. 4 days later when the thing fell apart I wasn't. Company offered a replacement which was a lower spec and equally crap. Asked for my money back and dealer refused. Been 2 months now and still fighting. Nothing is black and white.

Completely irrelevant to this quote but something I found out
I always thought even sold as seen had 14 days money back???? Citizens advice would answer that, only reason I say this is a cousinin his early trading days had sold as seen a car and had to refund as it was taken to court and won

It's illegal for a trader to quote sold as seen.

and has very little relevance to a private seller if the item in question is obviously not fit for purpose.
