look at wot yer buyin/won before parting with cash, yer not happy walkaway.SIMPLES:doh:

Sometimes it ain't that easy. I was happy when I drove mine away. 4 days later when the thing fell apart I wasn't. Company offered a replacement which was a lower spec and equally crap. Asked for my money back and dealer refused. Been 2 months now and still fighting. Nothing is black and white.

You can't go slagging people off without anything to back it up. You haven't even bought anything off this person ffs. You sound like a proper tw&t to me tbh.

TBH who gives a f**k what you think,
I'm sure you would be bothered if it was
a close friend or relative to you.

if a novice i.e a person that hasn't got a clue about cars or 4x4,s

then this post was mainly aimed at them to be wary about buying from a person not registered as a motor trader or through eBay a person who changes user name, because a previous name was a bad name. if you buy a car from a private person then there's not a chance your gonna get any of your cash back because you have nothing to stand on. at least a garage forecourt is a start

i know alot of things about the discovery,s now,
than i did when i first bought one.

so to call me TW*T is abit over the top i would say. a snake in the grass would be better:p

i hope this post helps some one not to buy a 4 wheeled rusty holed arched bottomless boot floored landy

if any noobs comming on here uses the search button they will find enough info to last a lifetime , then if after that you go out and buy **** thats your own fault , peeps on here are friendly and very helpful , but equally will rip ya apart , all i can say is ya didnt help ya mate very well then if he bought a ****ty disco as you stated you know more than the average person , ****ed if i would put a deposit on any fing before ive at least seen it or know the owner or some history of the vehicle ,
some people just wont learn

well tbh i dont see the problem with with person warning people? after it is easyer to sell a 4x4 in the snow and all these weather warnings and people worryed and going out and buying a bigger for safety reasons!
back of hes only trying to help!

why didnt your mate have a look before he bought.... and i guess that the advert on ebay said summat along the lines of SOLD AS SEEN

If the op is right in what he's said then contact police and report him for obtaining monies by pecuniary advantage. or goto small claims court. Schill bidding is a criminal offence what have Plod said about the case??

or is this a case of someone whinging about fook all??

That covers just about every disco over 15 years old!

what ever happened to 'buyer beware'?

honestly, who hasn't at some time bought something they wished they hadn't.
If anyone is going to buy something as big/costly as a car without knowing what they are looking at or taking someone who does with them, what do they expect?

I really sympathise with you for your ordeal, but why didn't you then warn your friend to take someone with experience in these things with them?

How many times do people need telling about dodgy dealers and scam artists, 'hey you've won an outer mongolian lottery, even though you never actually bought a ticket... all you need to do is give us all your personal details and enough time to empty your bank acount'!... 'oh, and £300 too'!!!
