When the guy from landrover assist was out yesterday we found a non std patch lead spliced into the engine ecu loom/a body earth and a live from the 2ndry fuse box

its about 2 feet long, looks professionally fitted, its mainly yellow with a laptop looking connection on the end which has "power point" writen on it

is it for remapping, has it been chipped ???

its my 1st defender so I am still learning

could be for charging a electrical device. what amp fuse has it got on the fuse box. picture of the connection on the end might help

Can't get photo as the wife is at work in it

the connection is as below, but with the screws to secure the plug into whatever it goes into.

its yellow and is on a non fused connection/earth to body

all the other cables are spliced into the yellow cables to the ECU

it sounds like a tuning box has been fitted at some time,if its the yellow wires on the red plug into the ecu these are the injector wires that have been spliced into,
