Afternoon all, after my range not starting last Sunday immediately after I turned it off, I bypassed the starter motor and she fired up. I have a new starter motor and connected the wires to it, however it doesn't fire up?? All light on dash but just doesn't start, doesn't even turn over?? Any ideas or suggestions?

Petrol Thor or Gems or diesel. With loss of sync some crank but don't start, others don't crank so it would help to know.

Transmission not in Park? I'm ashamed to say that this had me stumped for a few hours a couple of years ago....

Haha nope, like u this had me stumped many years ago. It was the 1st thing I checked 😃

OK. I understand that you have successfully started the car by means of a jumper to the starter solenoid? It that's the case, you clearly have an issue with the feed to the solenoid. First place to look is the spade connector on the solenoid. The cable can get badly corroded and break off inside the insulation. This can be tricky, because you will get a measurable voltage feed, but the conductivity is so low that it will not be enough to throw the solenoid.
Another place to check is the starter relay in the front fuse box.

Good luck!

Auto box inhibitor switch?
Another thing worth checking, it maybe P or N, but if the switch is faulty / dirty contacts it won't let you crank the engine over.
