I have a problem with my 300tdi. While grinding to find some good metal in the n/s inner wing/bulkhead area, some wiring that comes through a gromet in that area which I had tied back, but stupidly not well enough came adrift and the disc went through it.
Having connected the wiring back together, the disco won't start.
When ignition is switched on, the ignition lights on the dash come on, and the heater fan switches on, glow plug light comes on then switches off as normal, but when I turn the key to turn the starter motor, all that happens is that I can hear a slight click (relay maybe) from passenger side footwell.
Any advice would be appreciated.

have you somehow fused something? hows the starter fuse? when you turn the key does the dash light/interior lights dim? Is the immobilizer on?

check its earthed properly first !!!!
also check battry is fully charged
if wires are right should fire up mate
