This may sound like a dumbish question with a very obvious answer of either "of course" or "of course not"

Are there (obviously private) places that welcome non-road-drivers ?
I.e. to get to (and back) most places you'll clearly need a licensed insured driver, but once there is it that anyone can take part as long as everyone (especially the vehicle owner) is happy they can control the vehicle?

I'd love to take a couple of friends down to Woodlands...
one is licensed but hasn't driven in many years, one doesn't drive at all, no license.

I'd like to be able to find somewhere flat that kev can get confidence, and ideally that matt can actaully learn whats what in controlling a vehicle safely.

(this could conceivably lead onto a whole new topic - of what you would teach - are there things that a road driver will subconsciously do that you just dont need to (in fact shouldnt) show someone driving off road.

Does woodlands have regular passing places around the white "around" route, so that slow drivers like us (regardless if I go alone, or with kev or matt) it will be only my second time off road (not counting using meh'landy to climb some grass hills),and im sure i'll be snails pace to start!

Depends what you want to do. I learned to drive at the age of 14 up at Uncle Davids place - loads of private land. You can look through a Landy mag for a list of off-road centres and go for a day. All you need is a vehicle with Tax and MOT, and I think anyone can then drive on the private land, subject to the T's and C's of the place you go to.

That's what I figured, but didn't want to go asking to receive a horrified reply that would then tar me as an 'unworthy'.

I'll ask woodlands directly for a start.

But then figuring where to get some basics and practise in before then...
