ill think ill report any more of her posts regarding pm only info under the banner of spam...

Put it this way, I can only say my PM from Nicola wasn't "technically helpful"...
Hope that isn't ban-worthy.

By the way, if LR want to keep the handbrake switch on new Defenders "elegantly simple" (i.e. welded bit of metal on handbrake pushing switch) shouldn't the switch actually work more than a few weeks? Am I really supposed to drive 40 miles there and back for a warranty repair? Moan, moan etc.

p.s. Have decided to pay 15 Euros for the switch on eBay (140374010124). It's about the same as the fuel cost to and from the "authorised" stealer and I won't have to leave the car there (overnight?) - what are the chances of LR refunding me the cost of fuel, train fares etc.?

Well I expect Nicola will be in about 9ish by the time she/he/they have read all the comments and decided on a corporate answer it could well be middle of next week.

If 'Nicola' works for Land Rover i'll dip my entire body in chicken blood and run naked through the Lion enclosure at West Midland Safari Park whooping like an injured baboon.

Nicola me thinks your telling porkies, how big has your nose grown over the past week. If you are just here for personal reasons, what's with all the crap in your profile. Current Landrover - a car WTF?

Hi All,

I understand that there's some confusion over who I am and why I'm here. My name's Nicola and I work for Land Rover Customer Relations and have worked with other manufacturers in the past.

I appreciate that this forum is for the open expression of opinions and shared knowledge. I can already see that what you are doing is great and that there is a massive sense of community here with you all.

Allow me to explain a little to you all what I can do here on LandyZone. I can be a source of information if you need something clarifying from Land Rover, I can see if there are a number of issues which are being posted about a certain subject so we are aware not only of the concerns which customers call in to our centre with but also what is being expressed over one of the most popular Land Rover forums.

Where some of my responses I may not be able to post out for all to see, for example where the information is vehicle specific however if there are enquiries which are relevant to model and will help future visitors to the site I am more than happy to post these on the forum. I'm not here to spam your forum and appreciate that you are concerned about spamming as an issue but this is not my intention.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks

Nicola

theres no confusion. Share your info.It isnt vehicle specific. The marque doesnt have enough variance for that to be the case. Share or do one.

Nicola - yu have to earn respect - at the mo yu are not. Actions speak louder than words - yu will have to prove yoself. LZ dont take prisoners.

I/We understand that you cannot give specific vehicle details away.

But so far any "helpful advice" that you have PM'd should not and cannot be vehicle specific.

If you are including details in the PM's that are vehicle specific such as VIN No.s, Reg Numbers, Customer Details etc, then there is no need to do this, who ever your PMing would be fully aware of these facts as it is their vehicle.

SO in other words stop PMing and post publicly, prove you are a community member.

As MHM says actions speak louder than words, and at the moment your all talk!!
