Will have a listen at the air filter tonight. I’ve already done the valve clearance but will also double check that tonight. Cheers

If you carefully go around the manifold with your hand [ do just after starting while motor is coldest ] you should be able to feel a leak, at the front or rear is most common place for them to g
r if you get someone to start engine while you watch that area you will see a puff of black smoke from the start up system.

Did you replace it?
Yeah got a friend to do the timing belt whilst I was at work and he swapped out the injector for one of his spares and it runs sweet now, chucked it in for £30
