Hi
I have a 90 with a disco 200tdi transplant. It has recently had some work done on it in a land rover specialist after being off road for nearly 3 years with electrical issues.
I also has front and rear ARB locks fitted.
Now when i drive it above 40mph and then either put the cliutch in or take my foot of the accelerator there is a really loud almost like a vibration type noise that seems to come from the front of the vehicle.
I have had it back in to the garage and they have put a new prop shaft in after finding a poorly fitted circlip on the original propshaft yoke but this has not cured the issue.
The noise only occurs above 40mph and in 3rd 4th or 5th and is caused by putting foot on the clutch or taking foot of the accelerator.
The garage believes it is down to the 2" lift but it never did this before the standing in the yard period ( 3 yrs ) and it was on jacks for most of that time.
Any thoughts?? All help appreciated.

Rgds

They basically installed/hooked up the loom ends. Also fitted in the snorkel hose and filter box. Installed the original Propshafts, exhaust front to back, and bonnet. Nothing really weird.
I have read somewhere that the bonnet can also resonate at certain speeds so was thinking about taking this off and trying it. Failing that I guess I will be disconnecting the front and rear Propshafts in turn

Cheers

It's not something random that the garage removed to get to something else is it? Floor pans, bits of the dash etc

Maybe at 40 and letting off the accelerator just resonates with something loose

That was my initial thought but the garage are suposed to be pretty good landrover guys ( dont want to name them without reason really )
guess we will just have to try and find the issue myself and go back to them if it turns out to be related to something they did!!
