ive had this eversince i removed the side steps, i dont know what it is, its comming from the left front wheel well, after doing about 140/160km/h, its like there is a pannel loose and fluttering agains something, but ive checked it, all pannels are super tight. i removed the inner lining to see if there was any loose parts but everything is stuck real good.

Is there a nut plate or similar within where the side step bolted, the air 'pushing' as you drive along may make it flap but you can't see it ...

140kmh in a 3ton car.... Not me.
Are you sure it's not trying to come apart?? :p
Maybe drive a little slower than 90mph..:p

Hi Timo,
You mentioned it started after removing the side steps and mud flaps, perhaps you should put them back on and see if the noise stops. If it does then it will be something related to the fixing points or air flow. It's possible that the flapping is not at the wheelwell, so you'll need to go all along the front of the car and underneath to see if air flow changes have meant that air is acting on an area that it didn't when the steps and mud flaps were in place.
Let us know what you find.
Tricky.

Should be smooth and stable at 90 and able to go hundreds of miles, even the doozle ... Er, or so I've heard.
