Discovered the windscreen washers not doing anything can't hear the motor going and also it sprays nothing to rear or headlamps. Might take the bottle out and have a look. Can only see 1 fuse on the cabin board which looks fine.

Bottle is full when I press the Button on right steering wheel arm just get a few wiper swipes even hold it in for 20secs just in case takes time.

Also heated screen not working no idea where to start on this !!HELP

Took the washer bottle out had check of front pipes by blowing air through. Mine has 3 pumps on 2 small ones for headlamps and rear and a larger one which is the front windscreen.
Strange to get nothing on all 3 which makes me think electrical supply unless all 3 pump/motors gone.
Def can't here any motor when pressing the stick button.

I have the same problem on my '97 model. It was fine last week but nothing working since at least wednesday. Haven't had time to troubleshoot yet so if you find anything let me know.

on mine there are 3 pumps, one for front creen, 1 for rear & 1 for headlamps. When I got mine both the rear & headlamp pumps were shot.

Rather than get universal replacements I went down the breaker route and got a compete set of 3 tested working ones from P38 spares.

Apart from the colour, they all look the same and the plugs seem to fit all of them (suppose they are colour coded so that when you operate the switch the right one works).

Unusual for all 3 to go at the same time so may well be a leccy prob with the supply (I think they share a common fuse) or could also be the stalk switch. Once you hav found the prob the fix is easy

good luck

I had no rear washer jet on my P38 (1998). The rear washer pump was shot. I replaced it and everything went back normal.

The reason the pump failed could be a broken non-return valve. If the valve is broken the pump has to work much longer to pump water to the rear washer jet.

A return valve looks like this: (see attached picture).

The rear one is located here: (see attached file) (number 10). IMG_2583.JPG

Good luck.

I will replace the return valves and both front and rear pump which after much searching and every site saying something different seem to be the same on the 91 Classic ADU3905 I think it is.... Thanks for the pic... reminds me to look out for some technical manuals and owners book for the Classic at some point

Cured the rear washers... was pulling the little steering column switch towards but have to push it away... did this and still nothing then pinned the jet and got something coming our and can hear the motor going so 1 down.

No motor on the windscreen so the new pump will go on there and I will change the rear as well for the sake of £8. Not going to bother if the headlight one has gone as this is £40+ I have seen these for unless its an MOT fail in which case I will have to.
