O.K Fuel temp sensor is it in pump ? I know the petrol fuel temp sensor is on fuel rail but on the diesel no idea. If it is in pump is it a D.I.Y fix special tools etc.
I noticed on another thread the sensor can be bypassed to get it working as a temp fix ?
Thanks

Failure of the fuel temp sensor should not produce the symptoms you describe. If it fails a substitute temp of 60 c is used.

Thanks Wammers, fuel temp sensor fault was showing on diag and yes nothing to do with the no revs problem, interesting that no other faults are logged. just swapped gearbox ecu and no difference. Could it be seized vcu ? will do the test and find out

No that would only effect car when moving. There has been a thread on this recently have a look for it.

Yes would seem it was fixed by changing fuel temp sensor. Strange one that.

Update: Many thanks for the replies
VCU was seized and found that problem after test
Fuel temp sensor replaced and cured the revs fault :)

Now on to the VCU and other repairs RF receiver, door locks, heater matrix o rings, airbags the list goes on
