Brake switch reset
It cannot be the abs system making the car run in 4 cylinders
All even numbers are missing

You're saying 1 whole bank isn't firing? Any fault codes anywhere? Must be something?

Same on gas and petrol so cannot be fuelling.

Presumably coils span even and odd numbers and hence Wammer's comment? Unless someone put them back in the wrong order?

Some sort of sensor for 1 bank? Knock sensor? How about if you disconnect the lambda sensors?

Yes coils span even and odd numbers. Two plugs are fired at the same time as the system works on a lost spark principal. The firing cylinder is sparked along with an exhausting cylinder. Coil pack 1 fires cylinders 5 and 8, 2 and 3. Coil pack 2 fires 1 and 6, 4 and 7.

New coil packs fitted last week misfires on even cylinder numbers same on gas and petrol I am losing the will to live is it the becm ? Is there a limp home mode ? I would take it to Rick at Callrova but not sure it would make the 45 miles there

Would be ECM I imagine, unless the BECM does the lot on later models?

It was doing this before the coil packs were replaced?

If you pull the spark plugs on the even numbers, do they look the same as the odd ones?

Has to be the injection side then can't be coils. They fire odd and even at the same time. Has to be the ECM and/or the LPG linkup to it.

Very odd it only fires on the odd cylinders only....as they are on both banks!!!

A good check of injector wiring to the ecu wouldn't go a miss.

Still at a loss did a sniff test went green so put in some steel seal now passes the sniff test but runs like a pig
****ed off as turners engines are supposed to be bulletproof

Did have problems myself after my top hat full engine rebuild (3rd engine in the car). Mine turned out to be blown headgasket (twice in 10 months). The problem with rebuilt engines is that the blocks can be from unknown history. Overheated, too many head changes etc. Mine seems okay after helicoiling the headbolt threads. After investing in magnecore leads, coil packs, plugs its running smoother now, maybe needs the LPG recalibrating. Keep going, you've gone to the expense of a turner engine so don't throw in the towel just yet. All odd cylinders down has me stumped but as suggested, could be ecu related?

Looked at the roughness on nanocom all odd cylinders are 0.00 all even cylinders are as much as 4.60 what does this mean ?

can you lift the 2-4-6-8 rocker cover and confirm that all the valves are opening to their fullest extent,ie all the valve springs are close to being coilbound.

That would be both rocker covers then, cylinder numbers alternate side to side. I find it almost imperceptible that a cam shaft would fail only on even cylinders. This has to be something to do with the injectors or injection sequence.
