Hi, can someone point me in the right direction?

My 4.6 P38 has been sat for sometime and when I went back to it the battery was flat.

It started with a jump lead and ran fine for 20-30 minutes.

I switched off and tried to restart to see if the battery was charged but nothing.

In fatc not just nothing I mean absolutely diddly squat nothing - no dash lights, no central locking, nothing at all.

Even with jump leads attached still nothing.

Any ideas what I have done?

If someone did want to look I'm in Chelmsford, Essex. Happy to oblige a fellow with ample tea and cake, even a fee if the problem is in fact more than my own muppetry!
 
Wrong section this is for break downs on the road. If you want help fixing then go to appropriate section. First stop should be the intro.
 
Intriguing....even with a decent battery on jump still nothing......

First mistake was jumpimg a totally dead battery, better to charge it up first or if it has been flat for that long a new battery.

My guesses would be a bust Fuse box, blown Maxi Fuses, BeCM gone pop or dodgy battery connections!

Check Fuse No.1 as this powers the dashboard...

Do you get interior lights when on jump??

if nothing at all, I would be looking at the battery cables and earth, under bonnet fuse box, Alternator connections (have been known to short to earth taking everything with it!)

A dead battery will not charge in 20 minutes off an alternator and if it was completely dead may never hold a charge again.
The faulty battery may have goosed your alternator, or the jump start has blown something.
 
If you connect both jump leads to the battery posts on a petrol you can do a lot of damage. Ok to do that on the diesel but NOT on the petrol. On the petrol the positive lead goes to the battery and the negative lead goes to a suitable earth point as far away from the battery in the engine compartment as possible. Check the fuses and ignition relays. Change the battery.
