Hi,
Went to drive home from work last night in my defender td5 and found that I had no headlights, sides, rears and dash lights. Had to break a spur out if the cig lighter to get them on to allow me to drive home. I tried changing the fuses and I swapped the relays about. No joy. I'm hoping it's the main headlight switch that has burnt out or could it be something more sinister?

Not usual for all circuits to fail with an iffy light switch so with out testing who knows.
So it's out with your wiring diagrams, plus something to test with, meter, bulb and wire.

All lights working again. Not sure what was wrong, tested everything I could think of and they just started working again.
