just to note I did a test the other day and there was a trace of current getting through but probably not enough to spark into life

RAVE talks about a CCU (Central Control Unit) to operated the intermittent wipe - it might be this unit that is faulty

hi thanks for that I am going to have a look at that it is undenieth the fuse panel under the dash on drivers side

It might be worth checking out the switch in the stalk as well.

Mine occasionally doesn't work in intermittent wipe. Usually moving the wipers to speed 1 then back to intermittent will start them going. Its not a frequent enough problem on mine to bother trying to fix it.

Does the wiper do a single flick wipe ok? Normally if that works then intermittent wipe in the motor should work as well.

Also, try moving the variable intermittent wipe collar on the wiper stalk to every position to see if that makes a difference.

hi thanks i have tried the single wipe no problem and have tried speed one but nothing then today i left it on intermintent for 20 miles and it did it 3 times it must be a loose conection if it is dry tomorrow I will have a look failing that I will have to borrow the wifes garage my three are full up
thanks for the reply

Yes certainly worth checking the wiper control arm first but if no luck, is it possible your CCU could have got wet from a windscreen leak?
