The fuse for the indicators keeps blowing when left or right indicator used. No good on the old electrics, the only thing i would think to do, would be change the wiper stalk, thought it would be worth asking on here before i spend money on the wrong item. The hazard lights work fine.
Vehicle is a 1991 200TDi

Before you change the wiper stalk take the steering column shroud off and check the electrical connecting block. Mine was brittle, slightly roasted and causing a short.

Do you mean the plugs to the stalk? Been messing about with it today, just relised there are no brake lights as well. Any idea which fuse is for the brake light, wondered weather it was on the same fuse. Checked the fuses under the column, all seem ok.

Yes the plugs to the stalk. If you look on the inside of the panel that you've taken off to check the fuses there's a diagram of what fuse does what.
I'll check in the morning to confirm if you want as it's cold, dark and ****ing down here at the moment.

Yes, iv checked those plugs, all good. On my fuse cover, can't workout which one is for the brake lights, yes would be greatful if you would have a look when you get a chance.
Thanks.

Stop lamps and indicators share the same fuse, 15amp in position no.1.
If you have a trailer socket check it as I understand they can give a similar problem due to corrosion.

Had a feeling they may have been on the same fuse, but they are in a different percision. As for the trailer socket, had this apart, looked very corrided & rusty so iv changed the plug to illiminate the plug.
