Hi just got 1987 range rover v8 with no heating , the engine temp ok and all pipes are hot but the heater pipes go cold about 4" before there enter the cab , it seems if the heater matrix is blocked are these pro to blocking . iv just had a new water pump fitted . all and any advice would be grateful cheers

Check water filler with cap of while engine running. Tickover it should dribble, rev and it should squirt.(make sure engine's not hot before you try this!)
This should clarify something about water circulation
Cheers

already tried that 1 , flow round the engine is good with no air lock's it seems that for one resone or another there is on flow into/or round the matrix i think the next move is to strip down and pull the matrix out before i freeze to death lol , cheers bud

Hi easy thing to do is run engine and remove the highest pipe coming out of the heater until coolant appears as it sounds like you have an air lock, sometimes v8s can be a pain to bleed out, tiga

just to let you all know fixed heating had to back flush the matrix under pressure no need to remove it cheers :D
