Afternoon all.
My headlights weren't switching from sidelights to dipped beam, I located the issue to a faulty relay.

A friend had a spare relay from a disco 1 so thought I'd give that a try, I have now lost all power to the headlights, no dipped or main, they show as working in the cab but nothing at the lights, I also have no power to the windows?

I've checked all the obvious fuses/ relays but to no avail.

If someone can point me in the right direction it would be really appreciated.

Is this in your 110?
If so you would be better posting this in the tratter part of the forum!

Is the relay the same type?

I thought so both yellow 4 pin

What year defender is it? The only relay for the headlights is an ignition controlled relay, on the older ones anyway.

Edit: I would guess the main light switch is possibly failing.

If yer undo what yer changed... does the new fault disappear?

All sorted now, had somehow corroded a couple of the connector block in the dash, contact cleaner and a wire brush was the solution.
