I just put my fixed up radiator back into the car and was thinking that it was very kind of the engineers to provide so many nice flat, level spots to put my beer. They got some things right.

You can spot the mechanically minded landy owner by the coffee cup rings on the wings.....

Yeah no matter what job you're doing there's always somewhere to put you coffee (in the morning) or beer (in the afternoon.

Glad you got your rad sorted out...
Cheers for that. It went well, and I didn't loose the O-rings on the transmission and oil cooler pipes! It also allowed me to find the transmission temp sensor when the radiator was out, which was not in my consciousness until a few days ago when it come on on the freeway going 80mph.

I got it home and thought the best way to check to see if the sensor was dodgey was to leave it overnight and to start it in the morning to see if my warning light was still on. It was.

So, I guess that's next on the list. Oh, and fix the knackerd washer fluid level sensor, it's light is on all the time, fluid or no fluid. And solder the temporary connection I made to expansion tank level gauge that causes the coolant level warning light to flash.
