Been here, in the wild west of the country, since 2003 working for China Petroleum but will be returning, home, to the UK in July this year.
Originally from Morpeth but lived on the Fylde coast for many a year, the intention is to return to the north east.
My first LR was a late series 2a L/wt, bought back in the early 90's. I'd always had an interest in ex-military vehicles and tackled it with enthusiasm. However I wanted to drive one, so I bought another, again a L/wt but this time a series 3 24v which was in good shape. I liked the 24v system, which, on this one was in good fettle.
About 10 years ago the wife and I divorced so I bought a Discovery and disposed of the others.
Of course coming to China to work necessitated the disposal of the Discovery.
Consequently, with my pending return, I'm searching for something. It would be nice to fly into Heathrow and immediately find a decent Discovery for sale nearby to take me home up the M1/A1!!!

hi and welcome home when it happens ,good luck with your v/long distance search.
i'v always fanced a l/weight maybe one day.

Cheers, I'm actually having a trip back next week, for a month. Not looking forward to the journey - 9 hour train trip from where I am, to Urumqi, then a 4.5 hour flight to Beijing and a further 11 hours to Heathrow.
