Hi
Thanks for taking the time to read this. Have just aquired a 1998 4.0 SE with 69,000 warranted miles, everything seems to work so I must be lucky. But the question I have is it has no cd changer, according to the entertainment manual it is fitted with a radio cassette LPAICEN95M. My question is can a cd changer be connected to this unit, if not what is involved in fitting an after market unit. Many thanks in advance.

Not sure about your radio cassette, but I have a 6 CD changer and head unit from a 96 if you are interested.

Are you sure there isnt one in the boot already as most came with the cassette deck and changer in the boot.

1998 model..... Yup shoul be on LH side in boot, look for a black sliding bit of plastic .. slide open .. push button to eject the cassette .

There is no cd changer in boot, the trim has no cut outs or anywhere such a unit could go, neither is there one under the passenger seat.

dont think a 4.0 had one fitted standard,no subwoofer either i think it was optional but maybe im wrong, the one off datatek will fit but you need to run the changer lead in yourself
