Any one going to this will be travelling up from Dover Kent was good last year bar the price of food

I’m going. Only an hour from Stroud.
I didn’t buy much last time, which is unusual for me. I’m looking out for the @zed emporium of parts…

That’s the first time I’ve ever been to Newbury and not bought anything. In my opinion, there was less Landy stuff and noticeably more other stuff, including garden machinery and antique furniture! There wasn’t much series or defender parts, which has definitely been the case for a couple of years now as these aren’t getting broken.

Another good day out. I met up with a friend and bought some accessories for the hi-lift jack and a book on the Camel Trophy for a very good price. Lots of non Landy tat and even antique sellers, which is odd. And no shortage of Jerry cans for sale too… but I didn’t manage to buy anything on my list of bits I needed!

Have to agree on all the non Landy/antique/tat but I did manage to pick up (one item on my list) a p/s pump for my D2. I didn't get a chance to have a proper look at Malven earlier on in the year but from what I did see it didn't seem to have as much non Landy stuff so I'll do that properly next time.

We managed to buy most of the parts required to convert our 90 truck cab to a hard top, the hardest thing was carrying the roof and side panels back to the car and also trying to keep our Cocker puppy under control. Big thanks to the guys who kindly offered to looked after him for 10 minutes while we dropped the parts at the van.

My mate and I noticed the increase in non-Landy/tool/farm tat, it won’t be long before it ends up like a crappy car boot sale. Still, it was a good day out. I ended up with two Makita 4-stroke leaf blowers, some new wellies, a couple of heavy-duty g-clamps, plus some other sundries.
We enjoy the people watching too, Christ there are some oddballs there!

You're right about the oddballs, I was perusing on one stand & a guy there was taking bits out of a parts bin & talking/muttering to them , sad really, hope I don't end up like that, but ya just don't know !
