i take it thats too high then tyres say max of 65psi. they had between 10 psi and 15 psi in them. like i said totally wet behind the ears when it comes to landrovers

The egr is on the exhaust manifold. i'm sure there's a tutorial on difflock about it also. You don't need to buy anything, I just took it off removed the gasket cut a blanking plate in the same shape as the gasket and put it back on with the blanking plate between the egr and the gasket. The sedimentor is at the rear underneath attatched to the chassis. I think the poster is refering to veg oil! (svo)

yes i think a haynes manual will be the order of the day. vauxhall zafira i know them inside out and back to front but landys stump me.

You'll be fine with the landy if you can handle a vauxhall. They are very easy to work on when you get going. They come apart and go back together easily in my opinion. Get yourself a manual and you'll be sorted.

I run a 300TDi Disco with the boost increased, pump wound up, and no CAT (Almost keeps up with Boomers V8 Disco), if im doing around town running about Im getting about 26mpg to 28mpgs, on a run Im seeing high 30's with ease, last full tank was a combination of usual round town driving, 140 miles of off roading (and sinking, but we wont go in to that, I blame it all on DV!!:behindsofa:) a 40mile blast down the Motorway 5 up and fully laiden at a fairly quick pace and I averaged 28.5mpgs, so you def got problems! As for getting difference consumption when running SVO is a myth as far as my experience goes, never noticed a difference on any of my cars that Ive run it in, just cheaper and smells better than Derv.
My question is, has the Cambelt been done before you had it? If so your pump timming maybe well out? That will affect performace and consumption, be worth getting it checked!

the belt was done about 15000 miles ago now but as with all my cars that i have had i change them as soon as i can atleast i know that it has been done and not have to rely on others. I'll take a run upto k motors this week and i'll get them to check it for me. atleast i know how to valet them did it for 2 yrs at hillendale land rover lol.
