How is old Stafford. Lived at RAF 16MU 1981-1984 enjoyed the town especially the pub crawl when we were not barred.

1981 to 1984 at the Suppliers graveyard . Did 18 months as a box basher in the DAC then posted to I Site in C Shed near the HDC. I could have had a posting outside early because I was working at DENSITY ACTIVITY COMPLEX sorry for shouting it that bad it stuck in my mind really that bad. But sadly when TSW came for drafties I became a Non-Cadre just after the Falklands war in 1982. Scuppering my chance to flee DAC so I put in for 1 Site. The drone of the DAC hive still there but not to bad now, with massive amounts psychotic drugs drinks driving fast cars hedonistic lifestyle and trawling the streets of Manchester as Beryl Sudgate for tricks.
I guess you ended up as a ranker within that time most did due to stability.

Small world. Did you stay in the MR block or had to move Gibson block when joining TSW. I suspect you did a few tours of the Falklands. Pending which one Stanley Red Zero 3 / Hillcove 87 and Foxbay 1990 where mine. So have you return to the camp as a Civvy or work and live Stafford now. I remember the walk down town each blinking time I went I had Sciatica attack. I used to walk it off by the time I got to the main Post Office. My old walk was past the Lotus shoes Stafford Rangers Stafford prison cross the roundabout into town to the post office to draw out fifty quid with a cheque and card.
There was a Arcade place for Space Invaders and ilk. Then when my bumfluff grew and my voice broke I went out with a lass from Beaconside Estate for several months before being Dear Johned. There was a nightclub which had three floors under 25 over 25 and grab a granny near the Cinema I think.
Can;t knock Stafford loved the town but glad to leave the Graveyard when posted.
