wrong way round! You were right!

I really cant thank you enough. I am so careful and I really thought it was the right way round.
I have travelled for about the last 200 miles with it the wrong way.
Engine management light on after about ten journeys.

Really thought I was f**ked.

Thank you so much.

For everyones info it has done no harm to my td4. It actually went like fook with it the wrong way but mpg was down about 10%

if you happen to have an iPhone I am happy to send you a free cover or charger etc as means of gratitude. Just pm me and I will let you know my site.

Thank again

thought so, just glad you fixed it ;)

Update. Car refused to start . Eventually after much turning over it started. Got to sainsburys. Then cut out completely on me while going round a corner making me almost go into the side of a car due to no power steering. Eventually got it started again.
Next morning I tried to start it but no joy after almost running battery flat.
I phoned the mechanic and he said tuning box no sooner after I had the wOrds out of my mouth.
He said remove and phone him back.
Took it off and started first time. The td4 has been running fine since. Two weeks now.

Spoke to him and he did not recommend them at all. He said if I must tuen a remap is the only way to go as it is individual car specific. Not a td4, rover, mg combo .

Sorry to be a killjoy but I have to give my opinion

Well there yer go ;) you said it was fantastic to begin with , now you think that its ****e, and you change the subject half way through a thread:confused:so no matter wot we think or advice we give you , your convinced:D nuff sed really, is the gasket leaking ?

The unit will have had a bad connection on the fuel pressure sensor......used to do it on mine, simple disconnect/reconnect or clean contacts usually sorts it.
That said I stopped using mine as I was going through injectors rather quickly and it would show up a dodgy injector that would run fine without the unit in use.
These synergy units are car specific......so were told, each one has a different dyno developed map for the car it's sold for.

And FFS if your gonna sell it.....do it on e-bay not here.....please!

I have a Synergy1 and an egr bypass on my Mondeo 2.2, it makes a fantastic difference. Recently it started smoking quite a bit on starting it, cleaned the maf with electrical cleaner and a cotton bud (very carefully) as well as the contacts, then smeared some of that electrical silicone grease into the contacts, which seems to have done the trick.
I was going to get a Synergy2 for my Freelander, but a MAAFAM unit with the Pieberg maf came up on ebay, the mil is on but there are no stored faults and I can't reset the light - I read somewhere (think it was the Synergy website) that a faulty maf can trigger the light, but not log a fault code?
