Hey y'all,

Been around this forum for a long while, but finally getting my First Landy tomorrow. It's a 90 with the 2.5 TD, one of the last before the Defender name was introduced- it was first registered September 1990. Anywho, the one I've put my hard earned cash into is a bit of a unicorn, and doesn't have a towbar. We've been looking online, and there seem to be loads of them about for the more modern chassis- td5, TDCi, and only a few about for the TDi/TD engine stuff.

I've seen a few about that came off Discos, and they say they fit the Defenders with TDi Chassis, but nothing anywhere about the TD chassis. Will these fit, or do I need to get a genuine TD one? I'm guessing the chassis won't have altered in the back all that much, but wanted to make sure before we got one.

Oh, and pics will be going up tomorrow, once it arrives.

hi, if you look for a 200tdi tow bar that should fit as im sure the chassis are the same.
where abouts are you? I assume you need a towbar for towing and not just for recovery?

I have an adjustable one off my 1989 90 .. it's a fully adjustable with reinforcements and arms. All you'd need to fit it are bolts and a spreader plate for the rear of the bumper.

Open to offers .... ;)

If you want an adjustable height one then you need the Dixon Bate type, BM BA192 at approx £120 or BP DA2121 at approx £100. Towball or ball/pin combination extra.
