I have just picked up a 2000 model range rover Vouge yesterday the problem I have now is when I went to it today I noticed that the car had lowered it self to it lowest height secondly when driving along after it has risen to the standard road height I can hear the air pump still going altough this is doesnt increase the height or reduce it this is promiment especially when you are the lights this evening the car will not rise at all when you drive it please help

when you get in the car, start it, make sure yr in park or neutral. doors closed and press the rocker switch to the high position. it should raise to the high pos. then you can go to normal drive position. if it doesnt work then i suspect a fault on the eas block or one of the air bags has gone!!

your air pump will be continuously working all the time as it monitors the height and checks all 4 corners. are you getting confused over this?

All your questions should be answered above...;)

Plus, ask any question you like, no matter how silly it maybe...

PS. you might as well start to download "Rave CD 2" Workshop Manuals for the P38 and "Microcat Parts CD" the complete parts listing from here:

thanks a Million for the docs ...... zzr1200 do you also ride a kawaka

If it's slow to rise, could be worn compressor piston seal which is the cheapest fix (On Egay for approx. £25) or leaking air spring/pipework.
