Hi everyone, just joined as ive recently purchased a 99 p38 ,, now having bad feeling about it ,, starting to have problems already :(

Drivers door window reg clicking when goes up,
Window / sunroof / mirrors switch panel not working,
Hvac heating not working showing book symbol on display,
SRS airbag fault light came on yesterday,
lower boot lid straps snapped,
bonnet release catch broke,
one bonnet release cable snapped,
heated seats not working,

i own this jeep a week on fri and all this has happened :(

Sounds about right, ask them in the Rangie section and no doubt someone's butler will be able to help.;););)

welcome to the mad house:D:D

ah the joys of it, i brought it over from uk to ireland turned it into a commercial and its booked in for the doe test (mot) and the srs airbag light comes on yesterday i cant even take the srs bulb out of dash as it comes up fault on dash display :(

im thinking a can of petrol instead of tlc haha this is gonna be one costly jeep to drive.

Welcome and it aint a JEEP ITS A LAND ROVER!!!!

Sorry to say seems you didn't even open/try
things or had taken a good look around bit self inflicted , but minor problems really, srs is prob the wires under your seat where it's been adjusted to suit new driver wiggle wires under seat usually sorts it .

I maybe wrong but the SRS light on the dash currently will not fail the mot test.... I think VOSA are revising that in april 2013 to make MIL and SRS lights a failure item on test

You can get a universal locking wheel nut removal tool, from a good tool retailer like snap-on or mac tools, if you know someone in the garage trade, I have one but its only 19mm so not big enough for LR nuts
