Hi there. Bought a Landrover 110 station wagon 2.5 Tdi, M reg, 99,000 on the clock, just before Xmas. Nice truck, in relatively good nick.
Two small problems: The heater doesn't work. I know they don't really heat much anyway, but if you put it on "blow" and "hot" the fuse blows. I've tested the fuse and there's good volts across the spade slot in the fusebox. This implies an earth problem I guess. Are there any common faults I can look for first? I don't want to take the heater out if I can get away with it. In the Haynes manual it's a bonnet-off drilling out rivets job..
Second problem may be more serious. Yesterday a red warning light came on, showing the axles with four wheels. It looks like the diff-lock warning, except it's red and doesn't have the symbol in the middle. The light isn't even in my owner's handbook, but I suspect the handbook is for the more recent models. Is it something to do with the four wheel drive? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
