I use my 109 every day however I don't live far from work. If I had to go far it would be very tiresome. A coiler is another world in terms of comfort and a tdi or later engine makes such a difference to driveability.
A lot of people seem to be coming on here lately asking similar questions to this I think the main thing they need to know is that owning older vehicles requires a lot more input from the owner in terms of maintenance and repairs. You've got to want to do it, not just jump in and drive off like you do in modern cars. If you leave an old landy for a week this time of year it may well not start when you need it, and infrequent use plays havoc with brakes etc. In many ways it will be better if it's used every day, but you've got to put some effort in to keep it going nicely.
